Searching for German food in Penang?

In Penang, if you're to search for the BEST German food... you've got to go to Ingolf's Kneipe Restaurant & Bar, situated along Jalan Sungai Kelian, off the main Jalan Tanjong Bungah. In short, it's about 5 minutes drive to my aunts house. It is a great place for friends gathering, couple's dating, celebration or just as simple as food and culture discovering. Besides locals, a lot of foreigner (by that I do not mean foreigners like Myanmars, Vietnamese, Bangladeshis and Indonesians. I MEANT Germans, Americans, British, Aussies...) love to take their meals here, chit chat or just have some beer at the bar counter. Business is of course, good and it's been established for more than 10 years already.

A great place to hangout and meet up with friends
Summer '08

For lunch, they have set meals only. (main course + dessert + ice lemon tea/coffee/tea/orange juice). Everything is below RM20. The lunch is 100% worth it I tell you, and the portion is very satisfying and they're not stingy about the quality and quantity of food.

Then, for dinner, it's all ala carte and prices vary. A mixed grill (the amount of stuffs that they give - is for 2) and it costs RM40+. Business is very good for both lunch and dinner session.

Mashed Potatoes, Bacon, Sauerkraut, a long Pork sausage & Bacon (together with drink + dessert) for only RM11.90.

Chips, garden salad and pork chop with mushroom sauce, for only RM11.90

This was what I had : Mixed grill
It comes along with 2 potato thingy, fresh garden salad, grilled tomato, a few pieces of beef steak, pork and lamb meat, dessert & drink. All for RM14.90!

Yours turly & bestie since primary 1
